We recently hired a motor home to do the north coast 500 (Scotland) and what a wonderful trips it was. We were shown how to do everything and also given videos to watch whenever we needed too which came in handy as there's a lot to remember. The RV was clean and spacious, perfect our 6 month old and us. Would be loads of room for older kids. I was able to get my sons next to me crib in there no problem and take it down each day to create more space. The owners have memberships with a few caravan clubs which entitles you to money off campsites which is fantastic. We were paying no more than £30 for full hook up and RV facility sites. We managed 2 days without having to go to a campsite and could have probably done more. So we were able to stay in some stunning wild camping locations. We will definitely use SL motor home hire in the future and I was told they would be getting new vans next year too. I did not drive the RV but my husband said it was easy to get used to very quickly even though it has been a few years since he has driven one! 10/10 recommend for any couples and families wanting a little adventure.

Great customer experience We traveled to Dorset, Jurassic coast from Cumbria. Motorhome was very good on fuel economy and Sam was brilliant to deal with.

We have recently returned from an amazing weeks hire touring around the Lake District from south lakes motor home. I couldn’t recommend this company enough. This was the first time we had hired a motorhome and traveled with our 2 year old daughter, we really couldn’t fault our week. From the initial booking stage Sam was great in helping us plan and answering our questions ahead of our hire, as we where newbies there where quiet a few. On collection the motorhome was immaculate, we were greeted by Sam who shown us around the van really thoroughly and made sure we were confident on how everything worked. They also provide video tutorials of how everything works for you to refer back, which we found great. We will definitely be hiring from this company again.

Magical lodge in the Heart of Marloth Park Stayed here in January 23 and can say what a truly amazing place this is, Hillary and Lee-Ann were amazing, couldn't have asked for better hosts. This place is stunning from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave (which is our case we didn't want to leave) you can relax and chill and enjoy the African life. Highly highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a lovely chilled lodge near the Kruger Park. Lots of restaurants and bars close by which just adds to the experience. Can safely say will be back to enjoy a wonderful stay at Noro Wa Hina again sooner rather than later and bring all the family to experience Africa at its best.

We hired a motorhome from South Lakes Motorhome hire for the weekend and travelled to Silloth. From booking to pick up to drop off nothing was too much trouble and the videos were helpful and informative for amateurs like us. We would highly recommend hiring from them and we shall be doing so every time we want to hire a motorhome.

We hired a motorhome from South Lakes Motorhome a couple of weeks ago. We travelled up to Scotland for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our trip. we hired a motorhome from Sam & Adam for 2 weeks, from the very first contact nothing was to much trouble, the motorhome when collected was in outstanding condition inside and out, also supplied with very handy videos òf how everything worked within the van, we had a fantastic 2 weeks, travelled across to the north east then up to falkirk, fom there to Loch Ness, down to Loch Lomond passing through Glen Coe, down to isle of whithorn and last couple of days in Luce Bay before returning home, the motorhome is very comfortable and easy to drive once you get use to the extra width and length, a fantastic motorhome and fantastic local company, a great 2 weeks neil & Julie and the 2 dogs Moss and Mac ( who also loved the adventure )

Really enjoyed the time we spent with South Lakes Motorhomes 6 Berth camper. We spent a little time touring Inverness and around the cairngorms.Couldn't fault start to end of our experience, and to add Sam made it as easy and informative from the go. All in all a very smart and comfortable camper that I would recommend to anyone wanting this type of break/holiday. This was a new kind of mini break that we would normally have but I have to say we will making it more regular and I am sure we will be back.

The team at South lakes were fantastic at giving us lots of extra information with our trip as they had done the very same trip we were planning.....so could give lots of tips and advice. Really encouraging and helpful. We wanted to use a local firm rather than a national and their vehicles fit our requirements perfectly. would recommend.

Unfortunately our experience was less than great - everything except the tent had to be provided by us. Motorhomes seemed to offer a solution so we investigated and were delighted to find a source close to home in Barrow-in-Furness. We viewed the vehicle and liked what we saw so we booked. We've now enjoyed our first week in the Lake District with the Roller Team 707 from South Lakes Motorhome Hire and I can't see us going back to anything else!! For ease of driving, layout and overall comfort the home gets top marks. What also amazed us was how light it was inside. For customer support, even in the time of a pandemic, Sam gets a Gold Star. We have already booked for next year and, so popular is this supplier, we nearly weren't successful! If you want the best - guess you've got to think ahead and get your bid in early.

Just back from our first motorhome holiday touring through the Lake District. We hired a motorhome from Sam for our first experience as a family of 4 to see if we liked it, which we did, we all enjoyed travelling in the motorhome and look forward to doing it again.The motorhome was new, clean and well equipped. It comes ready with all the crockery and catering equipment you’ll need. The beds are comfortable, and has plenty of space for 4 people to live, eat, watch TV etc. There is plenty of storage spaces and the garage is very useful for loading up at the start. We had 4 bikes on the bike rack, and it was very easy to mount and secure them.The van was easy to drive, no more difficult than a car. Sam completed a very extensive handover at the start, so we were able to use all the functions of the van.Highly recommended!

Paradise Nora Wa Hina is a fabulous lodge bordering the Kruger. , everything you could ask for , 3 en suite bedrooms all traditionally done with a great viewing deck . Had lots of animals visit us on our week stay . Absolute no noise apart from the animals great splash pool and braai area . Came all the way from Scotland for this and would come back in a heartbeat... what a holiday this was and this place made it for us .

Einzigartig - nur zu empfehlen So haben wir uns das Haus nicht vorgestellt. Alle unsere Erwartungen wurden erfüllt und übertroffen. Die Gastgeberin, Cathy und Themby waren einzigartig und ständig um uns bemüht. Das Haus bietet alles, was man sich wünscht. Die Reaktionszeit der Gastgeberin auf Fragen, war sehr schnell und stets zur vollen Zufriedenheit. Tiere haben uns begrüßt. Haus und auch der Pool waren sehr gepflegt. Wir können dieses Haus nur sehr empfehlen!!

Try before you buy. Sam gave us full details of the documentation required and the prices for hire from the onset (no hidden extras). At the pick up point we were given a thorough induction and also a very useful info pack, with good suggestions for a successful trip.The motor home worked perfectly, even though we took it on a fairly long journey.It was very clean on pick up and we'll appointed.At every stage Sam gave us excellent and well appreciated advice for this, our first trip in this type of vehicle (and actually this type of holiday).We would very much recommend South Lakes Motor home Hire to anyone thinking of trying a Motor home hire.
